SB 785  RELATING TO PUBLIC UTILITIES                 EDB, CPC/JHA
SD 1,   Makes optional the PUC's decertification of
HD 1    telecommunications provider and  selection of alternative
     provider in area with inadequate service.

SB 236  RELATING TO UNFAIR AND DECEPTIVE PRACTICES        CPC/JHA
SD 1    Prohibits  the  offering  of  a  prize  in  a  drawing or
     sweepstakes without a  written and conspicuous disclosure
     that some or all  of  the  prizes  may not be awarded and
     indicating  the  dates   on   which   a  winner  will  be
     determined.  Prohibits the offering of real property as a
     prize.

 
SB 1510 RELATING TO INSURANCE                             CPC/JHA
SD 1    Requires insurance commissioner  to  study feasibility of
     requiring real estate professionals to maintain liability
     insurance  in  exchange  for  exclusion  from  joint  and
     several liability.    Requires  insurance commissioner to
     collect tort claim  data.   Allows insurance commissioner
     to adjust rates.

SB 40   RELATING TO PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS                 HLT, CPC
HD 1    Establishes licensure of physician assistants in place of
     certification.

SB 876  RELATING TO RESIDENTIAL LEASE-TO-FEE CONVERSION  HSH, CPC
SD 2,   Establishes a fair market value standard (FMVS) for
HD 1    appraising the leased  fee  interest  of  condo and co-op
     housing corp. for leases that do not specify an appraisal
     standard and for  leases  on  or  after effective date of
     this Act; allows FMVS if lessor and lessee agree prior to
     date of this Act.
