HB 198   RELATING TO THE HAWAII HURRICANE RELIEF FUND    CPC, FIN
      Amends membership of the HHRF advisory committee.

HB 326   RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE           HLT/HSH, CPC, FIN
      Requires health insurance coverage for medical foods and
      low-protein modified food products  for the treatment of
      inherited metabolic diseases.

HB 894   HEALTH INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENTS            HLT, CPC, FIN
HD 1     Requires  health   insurance   coverages   to  equitably
      reimburse for aeromedical services.

 
HB 646   ADULT RESIDENTIAL CARE HOMES           HSH/HLT, CPC, FIN
HD 1     Requires DHS to  convene  ad  hoc complaint committee to
      hear  presentations  from  Type   I  ARCH  operators  to
      determine  sufficiency  of  presentations  to  sustain a
      complaint of  misconduct,  including  abuse  or neglect,
      against a resident.   In  complaints not involving abuse
      or neglect, prohibits  DHS  from  withdrawing its client
      from  the  care  home  during  review.    Effective upon
      approval.

HB 661   ENHANCED WIRELESS EMERGENCY 911 SERVICE    HLT, CPC, FIN
HD 1     Establishes enhanced 911 service for mobile phones.

HB 1026  INSURANCE PREMIUM TAXES                    HSH, CPC, FIN
      Allows insurance  companies  to  utilize  the low-income
      housing tax credit to offset insurance premium taxes.

HB 1071  RELATING TO THE INSURANCE CODE             LAB, CPC, FIN
HD 1     Amends the  provisions  governing  the  employees of the
      Insurance Division.

HB 519   RELATING TO THE HAWAII TEACHER
      STANDARDS BOARDS                           EDN, CPC, FIN
      Provides for staggering the terms  of the members of the
      Hawaii Teacher Standards Board.

HB 133   MAKING  AN  APPROPRIATION  TO  FUND  THE  SMALL BUSINESS
      DEFENDER   POSITION   AND    OTHER   SUPPORT   PERSONNEL
      ESTABLISHED UNDER ACT 168, SESSION LAWS OF HAWAII 1998
                                                 EDB, CPC, FIN
      Funds Small Business Defender position established under
      Act 168, Session Laws of Hawaii 1998.

HB 1029  RELATING TO PERMIT PROCESSING              EDB, CPC, FIN
HD 1     Changes  the  name   of  the  "consolidated  application
      process" to "facilitated permit process".

HB 1078  RELATING TO BUSINESS REGISTRATION          EDB, CPC, FIN
HD 1     Simplifies  and  facilitates  the  business registration
      process by  clarifying  the  updating statutes governing
      business registration.

HB 1079  RELATING TO THE CONVERSION OF BUSINESS
HD 1     ENTITIES                                   EDB, CPC, FIN
      Allows  corporations,  partnerships,  limited  liability
      partnerships, and limited liability companies to convert
      into any  other  form  of  business  entity  provided by
      Hawaii law.

HB 1080  RELATING TO THE NAMES OF CORPORATIONS, PARTNERSHIPS,
HD 1     AND LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANIES            EDB, CPC, FIN
      Gives  corporations,   partnerships,  limited  liability
      partnerships,  and   limited   liability  companies  the
      ability  to  seek  administrative  relief  against other
      entities who  have  registered  or  use  a  name that is
      substantially  identical   or   confusingly  similar  to
      theirs.

 
HB 1361  RELATING TO CHARTER TOUR OPERATORS     EDB/TRN, CPC, FIN
      Provides for the licensing of charter tour operators.
