HB 869     RELATING TO THE STATE FOUNDATION ON      CAR, LAB, FIN
        CULTURE AND THE ARTS
        Amends the law relating to the SFCA by clarifying the
        roles of the commission, executive director, and
        foundation staff.  Specifies that agencies receiving
        capital improvement appropriations are responsible for
        calculating the 1% due to the works of art special
        fund.  Adds remedies for noncompliance.

HB 1698    RELATING TO HAWAII KAI PERFORMING        CAR, EDN, FIN
        ARTS AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER
        Establishes the Hawaii Kai performing arts and
        technology center.  Authorizes the issuance of general
        obligation bonds for the design of the center.

HB 89      RELATING TO THE OKINAWAN CENTENNIAL           CAR, FIN
        CELEBRATION COMMISSION
        Appropriation to the Okinawan Centennial Celebration
        Commission.

HB 1741    RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN CULTRE          CAR, JHA, FIN
        Establishes an advisory Hawaiian Cultural Heritage
        Commission.

HB 809     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE HALEIWA       CAR, FIN
        ARTS FESTIVAL
        Appropriates $10,000 to the state foundation on
        culture and the arts for the Haleiwa Arts Festival.

HB 750     RELATING TO ISLAND SYMBOLS                    CAR, JHA
        Establishes an official color and flower or lei
        material for each island.


 
HB 746     RELATING TO HULA                              CAR, JHA
        Designates hula as the official dance of the State.

HB 37      RELATING TO FILM PRODUCTION FUNDING      EDB, CAR, FIN
        Establishes a state revolving film fund within DBED&T;
        and appropriates moneys for documentary film
        productions relating to the Pacific region.
