          NOTICE OF CONFERENCE COMMITTEE MEETING

                        A G E N D A


The Conference Committee will meet to resolve differences between
the last House and Senate versions of the following:

HB 221 HD2 SD1   RELATING TO THE HAWAII TOURISM AUTHORITY
                 Requires the Hawaii tourism authority to
                 submit a long-term policy plan to the
                 legislature twenty days before the regular
                 session of 2000.  Stipulates that the long-
                 range policy plan identify other departments
                 and agencies involved and specify a program
                 of action for those agencies.  Specifies that
                 the strategic tourism marketing plan
                 implement the recommendations of the long-
                 range policy plan and be updated every two
                 years.

                 House Conferees:   CHANG/AHU ISA (Co-Chairs);

                 Senate Conferees:  INOUYE/FUKUNAGA/LEVIN 
                                    (Co-Chairs); Taniguchi,
                                    Slom
