     Your Committee on Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs, to which
was referred S.B. No. 588, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, entitled: 

     "A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO SEX OFFENDERS,"

begs leave to report as follows:

     The purpose of this bill is to require the sharing of all
relevant criminal, medical, psychological, or mental health
records of sex offenders.

     Your Committee received testimony in support of this bill
from the Judiciary and the Department of Public Safety.

     Your Committee finds the sharing and the collaboration of
sex offender information will promote the interest of public
safety and improve the criminal justice system.

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your
Committee on Judiciary and Hawaiian Affairs that is attached to
this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and
purpose of S.B. No. 588, S.D. 1, H.D. 1, and recommends that it
