RELATING TO KAHANA VALLEY STATE PARK. Provides for additional families to reside in Kahana valley state park by lease agreement, and establishes an advisory committee to, among other things, monitor compliance with the agreements.

RELATING TO LAND USE. Establishes a minimum residential lot size in a rural district of one acre. Establishes a minimum residential lot size in a agricultural district of five acres. (SD1)

RELATING TO IMPORTANT AGRICULTURAL LANDS. Exempts owners of real property designated as important agricultural lands from paying real property taxes. Provides farmer and employee housing on lands designated as important agricultural lands. (SD1)

RELATING TO BURIAL SITES. Clarifies Chapter 6E regarding inadvertently discovered native Hawaiian burial sites by amending Sections 6E-43, 6E-43.5, 6E-43.6. Conforms the treatment of inadvertent discovered burial sites with that of previously discovered burial sites with the Burial Councils.

RELATING TO SHORELINE SETBACKS AND HISTORIC AND CULTURAL SITES IN THE DISTRICT OF KOOLAULOA. Requires a new historic and cultural assessment and a minimum shoreline setback of seven hundred fifty feet for any development makai of Kamehameha highway between Kawela stream and Marconi road in the Koolauloa district on Oahu.

Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
