Clarifies the period of time for safety inspection of motor carrier vehicles.

RELATING TO PEDESTRIANS' RIGHT OF WAY.

Clarifies a driver's duty to stop for a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Imposes fines for drivers and pedestrian who fail to comply with the crosswalk law based on the number of previous convictions of the same offense. (HB375 HD1)

RELATING TO PEDESTRIAN SAFETY.

Appropriates funds to the department of transportation to conduct a pilot study to identify state and county intersections where the time to cross the intersection is insufficient for elderly pedestrians and determine impacts on current traffic volume.  (HB806 HD2)
