RELATING TO INSURANCE.

Requires a premium reduction of at least 10 per cent for drivers who are at least 55 years of age and who complete a driver accident prevention course.

RELATING TO RIDESHARING.

Creates a pilot senior vanpool Hawaii program to provide vanpools for seniors; makes appropriation.

RELATING TO PEDESTRIAN SAFETY.

Appropriates funds to the department of transportation for a pilot study to identify state and county intersections where the time to cross the intersection is insufficient for elderly pedestrians.

Earmarks 2% of federally eligible moneys from the state highway fund for bikeways.
