RELATING TO ADOPTION.

Allows an adoptive child who is not a minor to request a new birth certificate with the names of both adoptive and natural parents.

RELATING TO ADOPTION.

Requires the medical information collected from the natural parents and the birth certificate of an adopted minor child to include ethnicity, if known.

RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE SUPPORT FOR SMALL BUSINESSES.

Prohibits group health insurers from imposing certain requirements on employers.  Clarifies the definition of "small employer", when applying the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 or state law that provides greater health benefits or coverage.

SB 1406

RELATING TO INSURANCE.

Extends group health insurance coverage for small employers to include self-employed individuals with no employees or small businesses with only part-time employees.
