The purpose of this briefing is to receive a status report of the Hawaii Rx Plus Program and to discuss any delay in certain services or benefits of the Rx Plus Program and to discuss possible solutions to expedite the program and thus the delivery of prescription drugs at reduced cost to Hawaii's consumers. Discuss the array of prescription drug discount programs available and assure that Hawaii consumers are receiving the benefits of the discounts.

Representatives from the following State Departments have been invited to testify on this issue:

Department of Human Services, Department of Health, and the Department of the Attorney General.

In addition, Representatives from organizations with relevant information on the Hawaii Rx Plus Program have been invited to present such information to the Legislature.
