RELATING TO EMPLOYMENT.

Limits paid leave for government employees who attend parent-teacher conferences to two (2) hours, and clarifies that government employees are eligible to receive paid leave to attend the parent-teacher conferences of adult children who are attending a public or private school in grades kindergarten through twelve.

RELATING TO TEACHER COMPENSATION.

Requires teachers to receive their normal annual increment or longevity increase, as the case may be, for a year's satisfactory service in any fiscal year that an increase in the appropriate salary schedule is effected, except as provided by law.

RELATING TO WAGES.

Authorizes an employer to furnish to an employee an electronic record of an employee's total gross compensation, the amount and purpose of each deduction, total net compensation, date of payment, and pay period covered, in lieu of a printed, typewritten, or handwritten record, upon receipt of written authorization from the employee.

RELATING TO EQUAL PAY.

Prohibits employers from discriminating on the basis of gender by paying wages to an employee at a rate less than the rate at which the employer pays wages to another employee of the opposite sex for equal work, except when the difference in compensation is based on a seniority system, a merit system, a system that measures earnings by quantity or quality of production, a bona fide occupational qualification, or a differential based on any factor other than sex.

RELATING TO HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTS.

Establishes a mechanism for individuals to open health savings accounts.

RELATING TO INSURANCE.

Allows health insurers to treat a bona fide trade association and its members as a single group for the purpose of issuing a health insurance policy, while allowing members of the bona fide trade association to opt out and obtain their own insurance. Prohibits the health insurer from requiring the association to offer only that insurer's plan. Defines bona fide trade association.
