RELATING TO PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT. Amends the effective date of experimental modernization projects authorized under the State's Civil Service Reform Act (Act 253, SLH 2000), from 7/1/02, to 7/1/01. |

relating to MINIMUM WAGES. Increases state minimum wage to $6.50 per hour, beginning September 1, 2001; provides automatic annual cost of living increases at a specified formula for computing. |

RELATING TO MINIMUM WAGES. Increases the State minimum wage by $1 above the prevailing federal minimum wage. |

RELATING TO THE MINIMUM WAGE. Raises the minimum wage to 50 cents more than the prevailing federal minimum wage. |

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW. If you submitted testimony for Senate Bills 760, 96, and 444 for the January 31, 2001 hearing, you need not re-submit your testimony. However, new testimony on Senate Bills 760, 96, and 444 will be heard.
Persons wishing to testify should submit 31 copies of their testimony to the committee clerk, Room 231, State Capitol 24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Sergeant-At-Arms Office at 586-6659 or 1-800-586-6659 (toll free for neighbor islands), at least 24 hours prior to the hearing. When faxing, please indicate to whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.
If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for the disabled) please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
