Representative Rachele Lamosao is Filipino American born in Honolulu and raised in Waipahu. She is the youngest of two daughters. Her parents immigrated from the Philippines in the early 80’s. They worked multiple jobs to provide for their family. Growing up she was quick to learn the meaning of hard work and perseverance from her parents.
Rep. Lamosao is a proud Marauder, attending school in the community since kindergarten. She attended August Ahrens Elementary, Waipahu Intermediate, and Waipahu High School.
Rep. Lamosao continued her education at Leeward Community College completing her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. She then attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa completing her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and her Masters in Public Administration.
Rep. Lamosao has been in public service for many years. She worked as a session staffer at the legislature. Then, she served as an Office Manager in the legislature.
She also serves her community as a member of the Waipahu Neighborhood Board. She volunteered with Waipahu High School as an Academy Board Member or Natural Resources and the Taste of Waipahu planning committee.
