[§132-40]  Deputies and assistants.  The state fire marshal shall appoint two deputy state fire marshals, exempt from chapters 76 and 89, whose duties shall be to assist in implementing this chapter.  The office may also employ other assistants and employees, subject to chapter 76, and incur other expenses as the state fire marshal may deem necessary to effectively administer the office.  Each deputy state fire marshal shall be well-qualified by technical training and experience in the functions to be performed by the individual.  The state fire marshal may remove any deputy state fire marshal for cause.
