Note
Chapter heading amended by L 2021, c 185, §3.
Any person prevented from obtaining or renewing a driver's license or motor vehicle registration solely due to failure to pay any monetary assessment imposed under this chapter may petition the court for a driver's license or motor vehicle clearance. L 2020, c 59, §9.
Case Notes
Where defendant received citation for operating a vehicle without motor vehicle insurance in violation of §431:10C-104, the intermediate court of appeals did not err in determining that this chapter did not apply to defendant's case, since §431:10C-117 states that first time violations of §431:10C-104 "shall not be deemed to be a traffic infraction as defined by chapter 291D". 138 H. 243, 378 P.3d 959 (2016).
