[§454F-1.5]  Registration with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System required.  (a)  All mortgage loan originators, mortgage loan originator companies, and any other person in this State that originate a residential mortgage loan, unless exempt under section 454F-2, shall register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.

     (b)  Exempt registered mortgage loan originators and exempt mortgage loan originator companies, unless exempt under section 454F-2, shall register and maintain a unique identifier through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System, but shall not be required to be licensed under this chapter.
