Note
Sections 533-2 through 533-16 are applicable to rights accruing prior to July 1, 1977, and such law shall continue in full force and effect as to any such rights notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 560, and revisor of statutes is instructed to retain these sections in the Hawaii Revised Statutes. L 1976, c 200, §1(8-102(18)). Subject to the foregoing provision, the rights of a surviving spouse after June 30, 1977, are governed by the Uniform Probate Code, chapter 560, primarily Article II, parts 2, 3, 4.
