§302A-1507 Classroom cleaning project; established. [Section effective until June 30, 2005. For section effective July 1, 2005, see below.] (a) There is established a classroom cleaning project in schools designated to participate in school/community-based management. Each school/community-based management school, through its council, may develop mechanisms to provide for classroom cleaning, including but not limited to having parent, student, or other community groups clean the classrooms on a regular, continuing basis.

(b) School/community-based management schools may use any available resources to achieve the purposes of this section; provided that no full-time custodial staff currently employed at the school shall be displaced. [L 1996, c 89, pt of §2]

Each school, through its school community council, may develop mechanisms to provide for classroom cleaning, including but not limited to having parent, student, or other community groups clean the classrooms on a regular, continuing basis.
