[§173A-2] Definitions. As used in this chapter:

"Board" means the board of land and natural resources.

"Department" means the department of land and natural resources.

"Land" means the earth, water, and air, above, below, or on the surface, and includes easements and rights in land, and any improvement on land.

"Land having value as a resource to the State" includes land having natural, environmental, recreational, scenic, or historic value, and may also include park and trail systems which provide access to any such land. [L 1973, c 77, §2]
