§127-5 Mobile reserve units. The director of disaster relief may create and establish and provide for the administration of such number of mobile reserve units as may be necessary to supplement disaster relief organizations in stricken areas and with due consideration of the plans of the federal government. The director may appoint a commander for each unit who shall have primary responsibility for the organization, administration, and operation of the unit. Mobile reserve units or any portion or member thereof shall be called to duty upon orders of the director and may be dispatched to any political subdivision in the State whenever the governor proclaims that a state of disaster there exists.
