L 1992, c 262, §5 provides:

"SECTION 5. This Act [enacting chapter 525 and amending §555-2,] shall supersede the common law rule against perpetuities in this State and shall be applied and construed to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law with respect to the subject of this Act among states enacting it."
