§79-4 Vacations of members of fire departments. Members of the fire departments of the several counties who have complied with the provisions of section 80-4 shall be entitled to and granted a vacation with pay each calendar year of two and one-half calendar days for each month of service; provided that the annual vacation, or any part thereof unused, may be accumulated for succeeding years, except that the total accumulation shall in no event exceed one hundred and thirty calendar days and shall be recorded without forfeiture. The vacation shall be granted at such time as the head of the department may designate but an employee's preference shall be given consideration.
