§78-15 Traveling expenses of state officials. [Section repealed July 1, 2002. L 2000, c 253, §85.] A state official or representative while traveling abroad on state official business shall be allowed $60 a day, except for interisland travel which shall be $45 a day, which amount is to cover all personal expenses, such as board, lodging, etc., but not fares for transportation; provided that a rate in excess of $45 a day for interisland travel and $60 a day for other travel abroad may be allowed, but neither for more than $65 a day, upon application to and approval by the governor. The comptroller shall issue a warrant payable to the official for the purpose, at the authorized rate, from the date of the official's departure to the date of the official's return upon being furnished by the official with a certified statement setting forth the time of absence.
