[§76-123] Civil service for the Hawaii health systems corporation. (a) There shall be a civil service system for the Hawaii health systems corporation. Except as otherwise specifically provided in this section, all of the provisions of part II shall apply to the Hawaii health systems corporation.

(b) All of the powers and duties assigned to the director of human resources development in part II of this chapter, with respect to the Hawaii health systems corporation, shall be exercised by the Hawaii health systems corporation chief executive officer's designee.

(c) When applying part II of this chapter to the Hawaii health systems corporation:

"Department" means the Hawaii health systems corporation;

"Director" means the corporation chief executive officer's designee;

"Governor" means the corporation chief executive officer; and

"State" means the Hawaii health systems corporation. [L 1996, c 262, pt of §3]
