§76-30 Tenure; resignations. Every member of the civil service shall be entitled to hold the member's position during good behavior, subject to suspension, demotion, or dismissal only as provided in this chapter and in the rules and regulations of the department of human resources development. Resignations shall be in writing. In case an employee resigns without submitting the employee's resignation in writing, the department head shall, within fifteen days following the resignation, file with the director of human resources development a statement showing termination of employment.
